North West Employers 2016 – Rethinking Governance for the New Shape of Public Services
Cormac Russell and Paul Macey participated at the North West Employers Annual Conference 2016, Rethinking Governance for the New Shape of Public Services. The conference ran for a full day in Bolton, United Kingdom, on the 13th July 2016.
Cormac made a virtual presentation ‘The job of the citizen and redefining what helping looks like’ where he explored three questions for the conference delegates.
- How can public servants support communities in developing the self-belief to define their own challenges and find sustainable solutions?
- How can we encourage a culture which enables citizens to act upon their needs and wants?
- How can we create the space for communities to develop civic power, care and connections?
After the questions Cormac introduced Paul Macey’s presentation, ‘Building Communities from Within’.
