paul_maceyPaul came on board as an Associate with Nurture Development early in 2014 supporting work in Thurrock. His work has included presentations, trainings and workshops across the UK in places such as the Isle of Wight, Bangor and Ayrshire.

Paul’s introduction to ABCD came through his work at Croydon Voluntary Action, where he has been working on several initiatives as a Community Builder over the past four years. His work in Croydon has played a major part in a range of community-driven activities, including the annual Thornton Heaths Arts Week, Manor Farm Nature Space and the Valley Park healthy living space.

Paul was a Community Development Worker for over 25 years. He has also worked as an equalities consultant, a trainer and a journalist, writing for publications that include The Voice, The Guardian and The Independent.

He has co-founded The Creative Collective Media, which set up the first national print media internship for Black Asian Minority Ethnic journalism students.
