Fife Learning Site
In Brief
· We are working in Fife, Scotland, with the Family Nurture Team (Fife Council)
· We have worked with friends from Fife Council and supported the procurement of a host service for two Community Builders.
· We are part of an active Stewardship Group, which has moved the work forward in the last year. The Stewardship Group is made up of a range of individuals who have an interest in ABCD and have local knowledge and connections in the two Learning Sites.
· Community Builders will be recruited in August 2015 and will be based in two areas – Levenmouth and Cowdenbeath. Community Builders will be ‘starting small’ and focusing on working in a small number of streets in each neighbourhood.
· We are also working with BRAG, a social enterprise that was formed in 1988 in response to the decline of the heavy engineering and mining industries of Fife. Its primary aim is the regeneration of the communities through the creation and support of sustainable employment.
· Two Community Builders were recruited and are now in post working in their communities. They are both been supported by Mark and Paul.
In Fife, we are working with two Community Builders (Kayle and Laura) who are hosted by our friends at BRAG.
