More info on the event

As part of Fife Council’s implementation plans for self-directed support, the Self Directed Support team is hosting a Community Mapping Marketplace Event. It’s a full day event with the morning being a conference style with invited speakers, discussions and interactive theatre.  Participants will comprise of multi-agency professionals and practitioners, partners in the private and voluntary sector and people who are in receipt of care and support.

The aim of this day is to encourage creative ways of thinking about support provisions – shifting the focus from funded services, arranged and provided by the local authority, to community resources, personal assets and strengths.

There will also be an interactive drama from Suit and Pace and Speak your Mind.

The afternoon will be a market place event which will bring together local community supports, groups, clubs and activities that have been identified through our Community Mapping Project, and representation from the private and voluntary sector.
